The Inn at Chachalaca Bend is located only minutes away from Los Fresnos, Texas and is situated on a bend in Resaca de las Antonias, an oxbow fed by Resaca de Los Cuates. Wake up to the sounds of wild chachalacas calling from the nearby native south Texas brush and to golden rays of sunshine spilling in between the Texas Ebony and Honey Mesquite.

As you wander through thick native brush on our 14 acre hiking trail with birding stations, and our private 27 acre prairie with its own pond, you see a wide variety of tropical birds like Altamira Orioles, Green Jays, Buff-Bellied Hummingbirds, Great Kiskadees, Ringed Kingfishers and the Roseate Spoonbill.  And within a short drive you can visit the Rio Grande Valley's largest refuge, the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge.
